BUTT (Broadcast Using This Tool)

Free, cross-platform. The quickest way to go live from a laptop with a microphone or line-in.

Create a free station to get your server details, then follow these steps.

1. Download BUTT from danielnoethen.de and install it.
2. Open Settings → Main and under Server click Add.
3. Set Type to ShoutCast, Address to khwazamedia.com, Port to YOUR PORT.
4. Set Password to YOUR BROADCAST PASSWORD. Leave User as source if shown. Click Add, then Save.
5. Open Settings → Audio, pick your microphone or audio interface, and set the bitrate to your plan’s limit (e.g. 128 kbps).
6. Optionally set Settings → Stream → station name and genre.
7. Back on the main window, click the play button to connect. The lamp turns green when you are live.

Tips

• AutoDJ automatically resumes when you stop BUTT, so your station is never silent.
• Use Settings → Record to keep a local archive of your show.
