Last updated 17 September 2026. Khwaza Radio respects intellectual property rights and expects its customers to do the same. Broadcasters are responsible for holding the correct music and content licences for their territory.

Reporting infringement

If you believe a station hosted by us is infringing your copyright, send a notice to copyright@khwaza.co.za that includes:

1. Your name, organisation and contact details.
2. Identification of the work you say is infringed.
3. The station listen link or name, and the date/time you heard the infringing material.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, the law, or the licences the broadcaster holds.
5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

On receiving a complete notice we will review it, and where appropriate mute, suspend or remove the affected station or content and notify the broadcaster. The broadcaster may respond with evidence of the licences or permissions they hold. Accounts that are the subject of repeated valid complaints will be terminated.

Counter-notice

If your station was actioned and you hold the necessary rights or licences, reply to our notice with evidence (for example your SAMRO / SAMPRA / CAPASSO licence numbers, or written permission from the rights holder). We will restore the station if the evidence resolves the complaint.

Misuse

Knowingly sending a false infringement notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability. When in doubt, get legal advice before submitting.
